MIndMap

Defination of Mindmap:

A mind map is a visual representation of hierarchical information that includes a central idea surrounded by connected branches of associated topics.

Mind map is actually very important in our lives, be it for long term or short term we will defiantly need to do mind mapping

Long term will be what will we want to achieve in our lives while we're still alive and how are we going to achieve it. It can be something like a bucket list just that it is more detailed.
Just like I have a friend that kind of have a mind map of her life (like what she wants to study and do in the future) and for now she's following what she had planned for herself a few years back.

And for short term maybe like for everyday life. Its like when you have lots of schedule and you need to plan it well. For example, where to have lunch or who to have it with.

Its really a must to know what a mind map is. Its not a bad thing and it does not do any harm to us :P

[Week 6] DreamWorks

DreamWorks Animation: The Exhibition at the ArtScience Museum Singapore

Last week our drawing fundamental teacher told us about the Dreamworks exhibition going on in Singapore and that we can go check it out when we have time as its all about how the cartoonist drew the cartoon from sketch with all the cancelling or writing of notes on the drawing paper.

Its pretty interesting but I wont be posting any photos of it since I feel it might become a spoiler and people wont want to go anymore :P So do spend the money and time to go ! Its not very expensive its very worth it and affordable but do bring your IC if you're a Singaporean so that they can give you some discount :)

This is my first time ever going inside the Art Science Museum it quite nice and bigger than the view from outside !

There were some notes on the wall about story, Brainstorm and world.
I like how lighting gives off a warm feeling at the black wall.

"Good shoes bring you to good places" And it sure does !

I Like the angle of this photo of Marina Bay Sands and the Art Science Museum , it feels very proportionate.

There is also a satellite looking thing in a pond that reflects the Art Science Museum which I find it artistic and cool.

And my dinner view. Its not midnight ! Its only 8PM when I took this photo. It seems like not a lot of cars will drive through this area.

Love for Donald Duck

Im pretty sure if you're observant enough, you can tell that I love Donald Duck from my bag keychain to my pencil case and sometimes handkerchief its ALL Donald Duck!

Firstly I like Donald Duck its because its not as main stream like Micky Mouse and Minnie Mouse
I don't really like things that are very main stream
Secondly, I like how it makes sounds very cutely and funny (to me) just like in the video below

And I definitely cant leave out drawing it during lessons !
For my 2D class that wants us to draw 2 image combined together and i combined Donald Duck and a real duck (Hopefully you can see it)
And again for 2D where we have to color the opposite.

And for drawing fundamental where we have to use medium that is white to shade and draw something :)

MRT

Took this photo as I felt its nice. Taken when on the way back home which is peak hour too. This photo shows 2 things

1) obviously the MRT which is the most important transport (to me) and nowadays I just pray that the MRT doesnt breakdown or else I'll have a mental breakdown because I dont really know how to take the bus  :P

2) Working people waiting for their bus. Everyday there will be a few groups of working people getting on and off buses and rushing to get home as soon as possible :)

[week 4]Hair Color

I think every girl has that stage that wants to dye or highlight their hair and I am included.
Since young I've always went to the same salon so I pretty much trust the stylist there since its been more than 10 years :P close to 20 HHAHHA

And knowing that I'm coming to NAFA, they suggest that I should dye my hair. I actually did not want since I highlighted my hair before when I was in secondary school. But oh well, I still did it and did not regret.

2 weeks before school started, the stylist dyed my hair blue but blue being a trendy color, it faded off within a week and I had to go back to redye or change the color. (Just as the photo above. Its already fading off to ash green and a little white as i had to bleach my hair)

And the second color they did for me was purple! Yeah that's how much I trust the stylist with my hair they just do the color they think it suit me.
Well, this color lasted pretty long :) as for now its close to 2.5 months but its starting to fade off (As the above photo again) You can see that the middle part is slightly light purple :P I guess its almost time to change my hair color. Even though I am clueless to what color I should do next.

Bras Brasah

I'll probably say that Bras Basah MRT station is the station I like best ! It has an artistic feel somehow that differentiate itself from other stations that I'm not really sure how to explain.
But one thing for sure is that everytime when I'm going up the escalator I'll look at the window (is that even called window?) to see what's the weather like. For example if I see small drops on the water I know that it's raining outside and I'll take out my umbrella. And if it's very bright , I'll just tie up my hair since I'll surely sweat on the way walking to school. (I'm someone who sweats VERY EASILY!)

Do you have the same thought as me?

[Week 5]Siblings Love

Left- Me
Right- Older brother

After entering the NS, my brother treated me better even though we still have very little common topics actually we don't really have one .... but well he still treats me food or buy me some stuffs at random days (not even special occasions) which makes me surprised at how much his willing to spend on me!

For example , almost everyone knows I have a collection of pocker cards( not for playing more of going different countries and collect some meaningful ones that I'll remember where it was from ) so one day he actually bought me a Singapore edition poker that cost close to $25 ! I mean even me myself I am not willing to spend such amount on a poker but HE DID 😍

Yes, we do still fight once in a while we  not as violently as we used to when we were younger. (We're too busy to fight HAHAA he comes back late from work aka NS and I sometimes come back late home too from school so don't really have a lot of interactions)But there's always a strong love for each other no matter what :)

That's the story of the drawing I drew for 2D fundamental ^^

Izzac Mizrahi - Fashion and creativity

Honestly speaking, I really don't understand what he's trying to say but I'll give it a try :)

He sounds like a stalker to me, following a person as he finds something about them is special for example following the guy for his shoes. Well I do admit I look at how people dress especially shoes too but not to the extend like him :P Well, I find him very brave to go upfront to ask the guy if he could take a photo of his shoes and he also does not really care how other people look at him.

Hmm... indeed some things only when there's mistake than it'll be nice. Why must everything be perfect to be nice? nope it does not have to be the case. To me there will somehow be beauty in the mistake just that it's hard to find or tell.

Colors are important in my opinion. If there's wasn't colors in the world I don't know how I'm going to survive like everything is so down, it's all in black and white. This make me think of the past where there were no colored television, phones or games like isn't it boring? I really wondered how people those times make it wouldn't colored stuffs.

so... I guess this actually ends everything:]

VA1F part 3

Finally a full VA1F photo!

we are defiantly not pointing middle finger! We're just showing how beautiful our ring finger is :)

Did you realized that one of my classmate is being edited in (by Kenneth)

I'm serious that this class is so fun! With lots of joke to make fun of each other :] and some crazy stuffs!
It feels good to have friends from different parts of the world and different ages. Not surprised that im one of the youngest it's actually good since I can learn more things be it in life or anything or there's a different point of view :)

Singapore Changi Airport

Went to the airport for dinner and this thought came to me.
When we say "Lets go to the airport" or "I'm going to the airport" how many of us will just plainly think that we're going overseas or we're just merely fetching or sending someone ? Because in many other countries or I would say the rest of the countries it's like that. The airport is really just a place to send and receive people.

Unlike Singapore, it's a place for us to slack, do homework(Like the photo below), dance (Since there's a lot of reflective windows) ,  shop, dine and also play.
Sometimes photo really do tell you stores. Like there is a saying "A picture tells a thousand words"

Its pretty cool how now they finally shift the tracing board out :) It used to be only in inside of terminal  3.

I feel its good to have these as it can also bond kinds and their parents even more and also after coloring the board with a paper, its actually very nice.

And also one good thing about the airport is that at the arrival and departure area is totally transparent that allow us to look for people. Whereas, in the rest of the countries its all blocked and once you go in you can no longer say goodbye.

Now I cannot wait for Terminal 4 to be opened :P

Sing 50

After a rainy morning and afternoon, with an excited heart with my family, we came to SportsHub to enjoy Sing50 Concert.(07/08/15)

It's my first time here since the opening :P it's quite cool !
Its pretty cool as the chairs are in red and white just like the Singapore flag and it actually gives off an artistic feel when you're right there!
The concert started at 730PM though there were pre-concert at 7PM

To be honest, every angle of this place is beautiful just that I feel the design of the whole building(?) is not that good... Firstly , Singapore is a very hot and humid country  but there is only an opening at the top and one as the side which i personally feel that wind will not be able to come in easily and also sunlight will shine very easily. Secondly, if they were to close the whole opening (They said there is aircon on the seats but i did not feel any when i was there) the whole place will be so enclosed without any aircon or fan to blow us. At least Singapore Indoor stadium has slight aircon (Probably it wasnt cold since the performance were WAY TOO HOT :P)

But we came out after 1hr... the sound system was VERY BAD ㅠㅠ I couldn't really hear what the singers were singing I wanted to wait for Dick Lee, LangLang , JJ Lin and Stephanie Sun to perform unfortunately, they were the best few so..."keeping the best the last" but the sound system was irritating I just had to leave. My family wasn't the only one that went home halfway there were a number of people too! I guess this place isn't a good place for music events just like what it's name suggested SPORTShub.

I pretty like where the sportshub was built though like the scenery is nice with all the buildings especially when its night and the buildings light up. Its just beautiful !

Friday holiday

Left to catch the black Knights performing their stunts but it kept raining.. and there was quite a jam near Marina Bay Sand.

(I love taking photos of raindrops on windows with a blur foreground)

(Taken with my camera and yes the weather is that bad ... kinda dislike the color it appears here.)

I was stuck in the car with my parents for at least 2hours because of the unknown jam, so we had to catch the black Knights while in the car. We didn't see them doing the stunts as by the time they fly pass us, they are going back to the base camp.

I've heard that the weather was so bad the pilots did not really know where they were! They actually based on the amount of time they practiced and try to guess where there were and starts doing the stunts! So amazed and proud of the pilots! Dangerous weather but still have to do their job! I'm glad they actually cancelled some more dangerous stuffs like doing some heart shape or crossing each other's path.

After the flying pass of the F16s (black Knights) we went to the National Library as it was near by to see some Legos building.

The Legos were all so well built by other fellow Singaporans ! I was so shocked to see such nice and memorial small Lego buildings that they built! Its so nice to see Singaporeans so creative with legos.

[Week 3]Tony Fadell

When he talks about the fruit with the sticker on, to me his trying to say that the world is always improving but at the same time when it's improving to an advantage, there will be a disadvantage. Just like the fruit, in the past there was not any sticker but now there is which allows us to grab and pay for the fruit easier. But before we can eat it immediately we still have to search for the sticker to dig it out and have a minor of its flesh wasted, making our hands sticky and also having to try to flick the sticker out of our hands.(Which I find it really true!)

He talked about Mary Anderson that invented the car swept. When he talked about it , the sharing tells me that anyone can actually make a small change to our everyday life if we can see it in another angle. She's also respected by him as she made changes that people can't see it from and not changing something that everyone sees it.

He also talks about his work at apple where Steve job made everyone come to work everyday to observe the customers. The eagerness of wanting to use a new device straight away. When I started using electronic devices, I still can use the newly bought device straight away, I have not been though the times where there's a sticker saying "charge battery before use" so I don't know how it really feel to not get to use the device immediately. Thankful enough that Steve job actually saw this and made a change that eventually everyone followed.

He gave 3 tips :

looking broader- He gave a very good example. sometimes in the mist of chaos we just have to simply step back and look broader, there will be a way to solve the problem

looking closer- it's very important. like he said different screws are used differently even though that have just a slight detail that is different but it makes a difference.

Think younger- As we grow older we get used to the environment. Just like if we met with some problems we might think in a complicated manner but if we have some people who thinks younger or is younger, they will probably think in an easier manner to solve the problem !

[Week 2]Last NDP Preview

A well morning spent with my senior. She brought me along to National Design Center to spend money.

All the stuffs there were so special , its all about SG50. There was even a set of poker cards that was specially designed that has all the old Singapore Slang or some childhood games and stuch.

After that I went to Marina Square to find a good spot to watch the airshow of NDP with my family and cousins in an air-con area.
My nephew making his baby sister laugh :) Apparently only he can make her laugh so brightly even my cousin(Its their kids) failed to make her laugh, she will only give a blank and  blur face as though trying to say " What are you doing?!"

I like to take photos of people laughing or smiling very naturally

I can say this is the best view to watch the airshows and fireworks. Just a photo of my niece's toy with Marina Bay Sands at the back. I really love how the Marina Bay Sand is at the back and the toy gives off a happy vibe.

"There are five stars arising, out of the stormy sea" By the Black Nights!
Only if there wasn't any reflection on the window, I feel this photo will be so perfect.

Without fail the F16 will always perform this during NDP. I also love how the F16 flies off
like separating in a very orderly manner

Photo will be so much perfect if it was not for the connecting of windows there...The only reason why I'm interested in aircraft is because for now my brother is serving the nation and he is post to the air force (Black Nights) BUT he is not a pilot(He will probably vomit a million times) He is just a front line technician.

It was a really well spent Saturday !

Breaking The Rules

Taken from a facebook post. This parent was teaching her kids numbers and so she did this. I feel that this is very interesting and kind of breaking the rules of art since we all usually just memorize the numbers as it is not in this creative way.

Taken when I attended the diploma show a few months ago in school. Who says that we have to really draw a human face and body? To me this is made up of different angles of a building.

Money origami by Yosuke Hasegawa ART of MONEY WORKS. We always do origami with origami papers but this Japanese actually uses money from different country to make origami which gives me a shock as not much people will be willing to fold their money or to some extend cut it just to make the shapes of the origami.

Photography by somsofy. We always just the camera lens or camera just itself or the lego itself and never give a thought of combining both of it together like this photo. Its like the lego man is working as someone who cleans camera lens.

slinkachu frames miniatures within a metropolis for london exibit
Its another photography but this time round its with a miniature toy male and a painting of Mona Lisa. I've never thought that someone actually created such small version of Mona Lisa, its always the huge version or maybe a poster size.
Did you expect that its this small? I did not even though I knew it was a miniature.

Artist Sebastian Errazuriz. Its hard to wear normal heels that is less that 2cm for me. But the artist actually designed such cool heels that are so high.I've seen different kinds of designs for heels but I never once came upon a heel that is caved like a ancient human carrying the shoe. I wonder if anyone can really walk with these kinds of heels.

Star Vista. Building does not have to be in a rectangle shape. At first when Star vista was built,I thought it would be a shape of a star (from the building's name) but I realized that it was not. In fact its built in a funny and weird shape that I don't know how to describe.
